Jazz Beats Bio
Ruben Jason, known professionally as “Jazz Beats” or “Jazz on the Beat”, is a Congolese music producer born in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, to musically inclined parents. Jazz Beats was raised in a Christian family and exposed to music through his family’s involvement in church performances. His passion for music blossomed early, and by age 17, he was already creating beats with the software Logic 5. Despite financial struggles and no formal support, his talent shone through. In 2018, Jazz Beats moved to Uganda and quickly established himself in Kampala’s music scene, collaborating with notable hip-hop artists. He is currently signed to Black Market Records. Jazz’s work spans multiple genres, inspired by international acts like DJ Snake.
